Both "Dream" and "Phoenix" were created shortly after a visit to the Dominican Republic, my father's birthplace and where I spent summers as a child. After so many years, and with my father gone, I traveled to this wonderful island hoping to reconnect with the family I hadn't seen in a long time. The visit put me back in touch with the colors and wonderful sites of the island, and it gave me a chance to celebrate my father's memory. So this experience was both a rebirth and a dream realized. The background of both images includes pictures of the flora and marine life, as well as glimpses of the beautifully preserved Colonial architecture.

Las imágenes tituladas "Sueño" y "Fénix" fueron creadas a corto tiempo de haber realizado una visita a la República Dominicana, el lugar de nacimiento de mi padre, y el sitio en donde pasé varios veranos cuando pequeña. Después de muchos años, y ya con mi padre ausente, decidí viajar a esta hermosa isla con el propósito de reconectarme con la familia que no habia visto desde mi niñez. La visita permitió disfrutar de los colores y paisajes maravillosos que ofrece esta isla, y a la vez, celebrar la memoria y el legado de papá. De manera que esta experiencia fue conjuntamente un renacimiento, y un sueño realizado.
